It has been a difficult time for all of us due to COVID-19 and the resulting environment we have found ourselves in. We are beginning to restart projects and undertake quotations but remain committed to the safety of our staff, customers, and the public. We have updated our risk assessments and policies for staff and contractors when undertaking work on properties or around other staff, customers, and the public. These updates include rules on usage of PPE, social distancing, cleanliness, and more and are designed to help stop the spread of the virus. We ask that all customers read and agree to our new customer policies before we undertake any work on your property. These can be viewed HERE.
We are also trying our best to work on quotations as remotely as possible. Where possible we would ask that you send us photos or diagrams of the work that requires undertaking. However, when a visit is required we will continue to take all of the necessary steps to avoid all contact with customers and reduce the spread of Coronavirus wherever possible. Obviously we are working through a large backlog of enquiries and quotations so please do bear with us as we get back up to speed!
We ask all customers, staff, and contractors to notify us if they start to show any of the following symptoms;
• a new continuous cough
• a high temperature
• a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
Any staff or contractors showing these symptoms will be removed from our sites immediately and will not return until a full quarantine period has been observed.
We also ask all customers to observe all guidance given by the government and the world health organization and to try and do their bit to reduce the spread of this disease.
Finally, we would like to thank those in the community (and worldwide) who have continued to work through this pandemic and deliver essential services. We will continue to monitor and update our information on this page as the situation changes. We hope to be able to continue to serve Devon & Cornwall and provide excellent building work whilst also ensuring the safety of our staff, contractors, customers, and the general public. If another spike in cases or other circumstances changes our ability to look after the aforementioned we will reevaluate all of our policies and keep you all updated. It is imperative that we all work together to beat this virus and protect our most vulnerable.
